GridPower Rebate Support Program

Buying a solar photovoltaic power system - such as Solco Choice Electric's GridPower product - can be daunting for many potential customers. Whilst the Federal Government's Solar Homes and Communities Program offers a generous $8,000 rebate on the system for those who qualify, the customer is still obliged to pay the full amount up front. Finding sums in excess of $10,000, even for the six to eight weeks it takes to receive the $8,000 rebate, can be difficult for many people.

Solco has a solution for Solco Choice Electric dealers - the GridPower Rebate Support Program.

How it works

The Solco Rebate Support program is open to existing or potential Solco dealers only. Solco extends credit to the Dealer equal to the amount of the pre-approved rebate granted by the Federal Government. This credit is above and beyond the usual trade credit terms offered to Dealers. The Dealers can then pass this credit through to their customers by reducing the up-front (post installation) cost of the solar systems they sell. Their customers agree to sign over their Federal Rebate to Solco before the system is installed, and the Federal Government pays Solco directly. Solco charges a fee for this service which the Dealer may absorb or choose to pass on to their customers.

Who is eligible

If you are an existing Solco Choice Electric Dealer, you may apply to be part of this program using the form below. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you are not an existing Dealer but still wish to participate in the program, you must first apply to become a Solco Choice Electric Dealer. Your application will be subject to the usual screening procedures Solco uses to ensure that its dealership network maintains a high level of professional quality. The form below can be used to both register your interest in becoming a Solco Choice Electric Dealer and apply for the Rebate Support program.

The GridPower Rebate Support Program is not open to retail customers. These customers should seek out a Solco Choice Electric Dealer who is registered for the program. Please contact Solco for your closest registered Dealer.
